Known as a global leader in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and surface technology, voestalpine eifeler Coatings has partnered with sister company EDRO Engineering to house the latest PVD, DLC and Duplex Treatment technology in California.
PVD / DLC Coatings
The “voestalpine eifeler group” has been involved in the dynamically growing coating business for more than 30 years.
voestalpine eifeler Coatings California operated by EDRO Engineering, Inc. is part of the global voestalpine eifeler organization providing thin film coating services across North America and around the world.
Our Portfolio contains a wide range of coatings created through two methods of Physical Vapor Deposition, evaporating and sputtering including a Duplex process (Plasma Nitriding) combined with Nano coating layers.
The EDRO-eifeler coating center in California offers the full voestalpine eifeler PVD/DLC coating portfolio, plus cleaning, polishing, blasting and de-coating services for different types of applications to improve the quality, functionality, efficiency, and durability of tools and components.
Physical vapor disposition (PVD) coatings are ceramic thin films that help protect your substrate by adding hardness, lubricity, and a shield against high working temperatures. Search the voestalpine eifeler PVD coating selection guide for the coating solution that fits your application.
Diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings are amorphous carbons (a-C:H and a-C:Me based) with extremely low friction coefficients that assist by adding lubricity, which in turn, reduces the pickup of adhesive steel and aluminum particles, and promotes the release of injectable plastic material.
The eifeler Duplex Treatment is the combination of a thermochemical plasma nitriding process with the deposition of an eifeler PVD coating. The end result creates an extremely hard and wear resistant tool surface.
