BÖHLER M303 EXTRA is a corrosion resistant martensitic chromium steel, offering excellent toughness, corrosion and wear resistance, supplied pre-hardened at ~38 HRC. BÖHLER M303 was developed for improved homogeneity compared to DIN 1.2316 stainless steel, offering superior toughness, improved machinability and polishability, as well as higher thermal conductivity combined with good wear resistance.
P1-FM™ is an improved low alloy holder steel designed specifically for plastic and rubber molding applications, supplied pre-hardened at ~30 HRC. Chemical composition and thermal treatments provide physical properties and microstructures designed to provide, excellent machinability, dimensional stability, safe weld repair, and reduced mold maintenance costs.
BÖHLER M261 is a precipitation-hardening steel grade for plastic molds, featuring excellent machinability in the as-supplied, i.e. solution annealed and aged condition (~40 HRC). There is no need for an additional heat treatment, significantly shortening the throughput time.
